A deluxe cruise for $75 a night? That’s what you’ll pay if you’re willing to spend 16 nights in a small inside cabin while Azamara Journey crosses the Atlantic and visits Portugal and Spain on the other side. Fares start at $1,199 per person for an inside cabin. For a few hundred dollars more per person, you could have a window — natural light is pretty important, we think, on a long cruise with plenty of sea days. And, regardless of which stateroom you choose, if you book between January 5 and 19, Cruise Club of America will include a $400 onboard credit, prepaid gratuities and a 50% savings on your deposit.

Fares start at $2,249 per person for a balcony cabin and include prepaid gratuities, onboard credit up to $400 and roundtrip economy airfare from major U.S. and Canadian gateway cities. All that for $187 a night is not a bad price — especially if you’re traveling from across the country and can make the most of the free airfare offer.
Looking to get away from the cold and snow? Perhaps you’d enjoy a 12-night Caribbean cruise on the elegant and intimate Azamara Journey. Fares start at $2,399 per person for a balcony cabin and include prepaid gratuities, onboard credit up to $400 and roundtrip economy airfare from major U.S. and Canadian gateway cities. Luxury line Crystal Cruises is offering up to $3,000 in discounts per couple when you book select 2009 sailings to the Mediterranean on Crystal Serenity and Northern Europe on Crystal Symphony. You can save $750 per person on category C, D and E outside cabins; $1,000 per person on category AA, A and B balcony cabins; and $1,500 per person on category CP, PS and PH penthouse suites. The discounted fares are still quite high, but most are for the popular, peak-season summer voyages.
Treat yourselves and your kids (or grandkids) to a weeklong vacation in Europe this summer. Regent Seven Seas is letting kids ages 17 and under sail for free with two paying adults on select Northern Europe voyages on Seven Seas Voyager and select Eastern Mediterranean cruises on Seven Seas Navigator. Adult fares start at $3,950 per person. While free kids’ fares are alluring, remember that the lowest fares are for 300 square ft. suites that sleep three. Families with two children or a teen may want to upgrade to a larger suite or book two cabins for more space.
Kids sail free on Regent Seven Seas’ luxury cruises to Alaska onboard Seven Seas Mariner. The weeklong summer cruises fit perfectly into a family’s vacation schedule, and Regent offers its complimentary Club Mariner kids program for kids ages 5 - 17 on these voyages. Adult fares start from $3,595. As the lowest fares are for 301 square ft. balcony suites, consider whether you’ll be comfortable fitting a family of three in this space, or if you’ll need to upgrade to a larger suite to fit everyone comfortably. Families of four will need to book a higher-category deluxe suite to fit everyone in the same cabin.
Peter Deilmann is offering a unique discount package on most 2009 departures of its ocean-going vessel, Deutschland. For a $99 add-on, passengers will receive roundtrip airfare from North America, transfers and tickets to pre-arranged shore excursions (valued up to $700 per passenger). That’s a great value — especially if you’re flying from the U.S. to Europe. Note, though, that Peter Deilmann is a line that caters to the Germany cruise market. Although the ship is bilingual, you will find that most passengers are German and the line caters to German interests and lifestyles.
